Review Detail
2008 d’Arenberg The Dry Dam Riesling
Wine Rating
94
A current cellar release from d’Arenberg, sourced from McLaren Vale it’s been rewarded by time in bottle and is a great example of the complexity and depth that can be achieved with considered winemaking in the off dry style.
The nose plays concentrated lime and complex kerosine notes against one another, the residual sugar adds a softness and fullness with lime and understated granny smith apple filling out the palate, the steely acidity snaps everything in line to finish and drives considerable length.
