Review Detail
2015 Granite Hills Riesling
Wine Rating
94
Riesling is not the variety you immediately think of when you picture the wines of the Macedon Ranges, however a number of producers such as Granite Hills and Zig Zag are producing pure and expressive examples of the variety.
A light yellow in the glass, the nose combines musk, orange blossom and background mandarin / citrus notes. A texturally appealing wine with a drying slate like acidity that gives a youthful purity that is supported by lithe citrus fruits.
White flowers meet crushed rock to finish, the length is excellent.
