Review Detail
2018 Erin Eyes Pride of Erin Riesling
Wine Rating
97
A wine that would sit proudly amongst the upper echelon of Australian Riesling and a steal for $35.
Concentration and power with each constituent part unraveling a new layer of flavor or texture. The nose is a mix of jasmine, talc, crushed rock, lime zest and Granny Smith apple that is as aromatic as they are intriguing.
The palate is defined by its beautifully proportioned citrus acidity that gives a lemon sherbet like backdrop for fresh white flowers, lime and green apple. There is a touch of fennel that gives colour to the long and wonderfully precise finish.
