Review Detail
2017 Mitchell Watervale Riesling
Wine Rating
92
Coming in at 13% alcohol this is a more expansive example of Clare Valley Riesling than some of it’s counterparts but lacks nothing in terms of freshness and vitality.
The nose gives lime and crushed rock alongside both floral and herbaceous notes; there is an impressive purity of fruit on the palate with candied lime and lemon that move more towards mandarine fruit before there the wine enjoys a textural build that is cut through by the fine lines of well integrated acidity to finish.
