Tellurian wines are a relatively new producer with the label established in 2002, there are 22 acres under vine with the majority planted between 2002 and 2006 and the balance planted in 2011 and 2012. Rose is usually a good indicator of a winery, with the 2016 Tellurian release a very good one.

The wine is a blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre and Nero d’avola that spent three months in seasoned french oak, with time on lees.

A burnt orange to salmon colour in the glass, the nose gives youthful red fruits with some richer clotted cream notes.

The palate is bone dry with a chalky citrus baseline that is supported by savoury edged wild strawberry, this is a clean, textural and incredibly drinkable rose.
