2022 Break Free Duex Rebelles Rose

The shiraz grapes were sourced from Mt Barker and fermented in oak and barrel with a portion on skins and bottled unfined or filtered with a cloudy haze. Fresh, floral aromatics of red cherry with some clotted cream and citrus blossom on the nose. The palate is refined and has good crunch of acidity, but remains balanced; there is a fruit sweetness to the red cherry and strawberry fruit before a twang of cranberry inspired acidity and grip pulls things into a more savoury mode. Cherry pip and citrus play their part to finish. Another interesting and great value wine.
