The wine was produced from the Sangiovese grape, which in my experience has a great affinity to rose.
In this case it has produced a wine with a fullness of wild strawberry and cherry, yet still has a savoury and textural crunch. Acidity flows and takes on a cranberry like aspect, with the finish a meld of citrus and red fruits.
