Review Detail
2011 Condie Estate Giarraca Sangiovese
Wine Rating
90
A light red in colour that is true to variety and a reflection of the 12 % alcohol.
The nose is youthful with dusty raspberry and cherry characters, as well as a touch of beetroot.
The palate balances fruit, earth and spice having used the difficult 2011 vintage to it's advantage in crafting a wine with vibrant acidity and lively , spicy fruit. The wine finishes with drying tannins and good length.
It will always be decisively medium bodied and best enjoyed in its youth.
