2015 Condie Estate Giarracca Sangiovese
Wine Rating

I’ve really enjoyed looking at Condie Estate’s wines over the last few years as the wines find their sense of place and hone their style. Sangiovese and Viognier are of particular interest given the consistent quality that’s exhibited, and you expect from a good producer in Heathcote.

This is the best expression of Sangiovese yet, giving a light red in the glass and a vibrant nose of raspberry and strawberry that reveals more sappy and savoury notes with time in the glass.

The palate has a general edginess to it with a thread of crunchy tomato leaf and textural acidity, there is plenty of red berry fruits and gentle oak induced spice on the mid palate with grippy, drying tannins taking over to frame the finish. A delicious wine.
