Sangiovese seems too have an affinity to the Clare with this medium bodied expression that is varietal in terms of both flavour and texture.The nose shows sappy cherry fruit alongside cranberry, tomato and fresh clay.

Morello cherry and cranberry work amongst taut tannins and acidity that you expect from the variety with the savoury tannin backbone providing a moreish nature to the wine. Sour edged dark cherry frames the finish that is interjected by sweeter spice grippy black tea tannin. Superb length.
