2017 Terre a Terre Crayeres Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc

This is a wine that lifts Sauvignon Blanc to a new level in Australia, it’s made in a fume style but doesn’t have the same levels of extract and funk that you may find in other examples. There is style, finesse and complexity that will grow in the bottle with time.

A light to golden yellow in the glass with a nose that focuses on lemon curd alongside understated baked passionfruit and some lanolin notes. There are taut lines of acidity that are carried by citrus fruits that are tempered by the slightest richness that comes from time on lees. Savoury tones with a kiss of pickled ginger like spice frame the mid palate with impressive length to finish.
