Review Detail
2011 Shaw and Smith Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Rating
95
Light yellow in colour, with tropical lychee, passion fruit and gooseberry on the nose, the palate shows excellent weight with passion fruit and capsicum flavors the highlight.
The acid is slate like and mineral with a grippy astringency that adds texture and contrast on the mouth filling finish.
It is not hard to see why this wine is consistently amongst the benchmark's of Australian Sauvignon Blanc.
