Review Detail
2012 Burnt Spur Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Rating
93
This is not your typical New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, it has an earthiness and density that is atypical to the ripe tropical fruit characters that many a Sauvignon Blanc is known for.
The nose has a herbaceous grassy character that borders on briney with the palate showing intense acidity that gives vibrancy and texture, the fruit on the palate is similar to that of the nose with a herbaceous undertone, the finish has superb depth and precision.
