Sauvignon Blanc July 28, 2013
2012 Bannockburn Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Rating

92
A variety that Bannockburn is not known for, however as per most varieties Michael Glover turns his hand to the results are anything but mainstream.

This Sauvignon Blanc has some funk on the nose with earthy passionfruit.

The palate is generous, full and interesting, no doubt due to wild ferments and some time on lees. The wine has ripe fruits with just enough savoury complexity to keep you looking for more each sip.

The wine has superb depth and will certainly reward some time in the cellar.

A must for those who like their Sauvignon Blanc that bit different.
