Review Detail
2013 Shaw & Smith Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Rating
93
Shaw and Smith Sauvignon Blanc is arguably Australia's best Sauvignon Blanc year in and year out, with the 2013 release no different.
Every time i have this wine in takes me to a lazy Sunday afternoon in summer, on a deck with fresh oysters !
The nose is lively and aromatic with grassy passion fruit characters that are true to variety, the wine has a pristine palate with crunchy acid around which fresh nashee pair and delicate passionfruit flavours express themselves.
The finish has a grapefruit astringency that is balanced by sweet pear creating a textural sweet and sour finish.
