Review Detail
2013 Mount Mary Triolet
Wine Rating
93
Mount Mary is undoubtedly a standout boutique producer and have been for a long time. The triolet is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle which is barrel fermented in old oak and sees , and the resultant wine is not your characteristic Australian white.
The nose provides a heady combination of honeyed lanolin, citrus and worked lees aromas.
The palate opens with a broad creamy aspect that is snapped back into line by a twang of citrus before the wines richer elements come back into play, there is even a little bit of blue cheese on the developed finish.
