A light straw yellow in the glass, the nose shows some worked winemaker inputs that give a savoury edge to what is a variety that's known for its herbaceous and tropical fruit. The wine has a wonderfully complex palate with understated passionfruit on entry that is cut through by citrus acidity and complemented by a full, textural mouthfeel from time in barrel and on lees. The finish lingers with baked passionfruit and a touch of grapefruit.
