Review Detail
2016 Mitchell Harris Sauvignon Blanc Fume
Wine Rating
93
Grown at Moonambel in the Pyrenees region, the wine was fermented with wild yeast and aged in French oak.
Classical fume blanc aromas with a lees richness and slight funk to baked pineapple and passionfruit. There is a tingling line of acidity that sets this wine off from the start with a subtle savoury thread tying together piercing passionfruit and a little bit of almond meal to give contrast to the driving citrus acidity to finish.
