Sauvignon Blanc April 22, 2018
2017 Tomich Hill Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Rating

91
Sourced from the Estate vineyard and raised in a combination of both stainless steel and barrel, the wine showcases the very good 2017 vintage and the subtle differences that can be made to Sauvignon Blanc in the winery.

The use of a little bit of oak has helped give a slight savoury note to the wine, as well as providing a more complete textural experience. In terms of colour the wine is a light yellow with a fleck of green, the nose has piercing tropical fruits, with gooseberry and passionfruit the most obvious. The palate builds well with texture from time in oak working well alongside a well drawn line of acidity that keeps the tropical fruits within the bounds of what is an elegant and complete Sauvignon Blanc for just $22.

Will enjoy a couple of years in bottle.
