Review Detail
2017 Oakridge Willowlake Sauvignon
Wine Rating
93
It’s not all about Chardonnay when it comes to whites at Oakridge, this is a racy Sauvignon Blanc that has enjoyed it’s time on lees and in oak with a tempered edge to precise tropical fruits with herbaceous notes on the nose.
The texture afforded by the time in oak gives a lovely juxtaposition to taut acidity that is bristling with boysenberry and citrus tones.
Time will allow the wine to continue to evolve, with the fume style supporting longer term development.
