Review Detail
2013 Logan Apple Tree Flat Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
Wine Rating
87
This wine is a blend of two regions with the Semillon from Mudgee and Sauvignon Blanc from Orange. The resultant wine is a light yellow in the glass, the nose shows the input of both varieties with a waxy lanolin and lemon pith from the Semillon supported in equal measure by more tropical characters from the Sauvignon Blanc.
The palate is full and generous with a creamy texture that gives ample citrus and nectarine fruits, after which a grapefruit like astringency ties it back together with a little coarseness, this is a wine designed for immediate consumption.
