This is an Australian icon, and the pinnacle of Semillon. The 2005 is just starting to develop some secondary complexity, whilst maintaining freshness. The wine is a light yellow with a fleck of green in the glass, typical lanolin and lemon curd notes are amply supported by buttered toast aromas.

The palate has drive and zest with precise citrus fruits finding their textural counterpoint as toasty notes gently work their way in across the journey. There is a subtle note of green apple adds another dimension, the length to finish is profoundly long.
