2015 Moss Wood Semillon
Wine Rating

94
Tasting through the range at Moss Wood is a special experience, there is no big cellar door, with the team generous with their time and passionate about their wines. It would be remiss if you consider Moss Wood only as a Cabernet Sauvignon producer, the sheer quality across their portfolio is why they are one of the premier wineries in Margaret River and Australia.

The 2015 Semillon though only in it’s youth is showing attractive clotted cream and citrus notes on the nose, moving seamlessly to a palate that gives a fullness of custard apple that is supported by textural acidity. The wine shows a honeyed aspect to citrus influences to finish.

Delicious in it’s youth, with an interesting journey ahead of it as secondary characters of the variety start to emerge.
