A golden yellow in colour, this wine is very much in a tertiary stage of it’s existence, it’s one of the most unique wines i have had but could be challenging for some.
A touch of stem on the nose with marzipan, clotted cream and earth, the palate opens with baked peach and a continuation of the marzipan, there is still plenty of acid which gives definition, flashes of marmalade that have an impact to finish.
It was a treat to drink a 35 year old wine.
