A more restrained wine than other RunRig vintages, there is less fruit evident on the nose, with more savoury characters coming through. There is a definite lift provided in the mid to back palate from the addition of 3.5% Viognier, with high quality oak and dark fruits to finish. The tannin structure again is impeccable giving definite focus to the wine.
