Bernoota’ was the original name given to the homestead on the Lake Breeze property - it is an Aboriginal name for ‘camp among the gum trees’. The wine itself is a good example of Langhorne Creek and the quintessential Australian blend of Shiraz and Cabernet. In this instance it is a 60% blend of Shiraz and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

A crimson to ruby red in colour, the nose has briar dark fruits, and a touch of licorice and dark chocolate. The palate is generous and full bodied with raspberry and plum backed by ample cedary oak. The wine has delicate baking spices to go with the plush plum and blackberry fruit on the finish with structural tannins accentuating the wines length. Very good value.
