A 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Shiraz that was whole berry and whole bunch fermented before ageing in French oak.
A wine with swagger and interest, the nose enjoys an undergrowth meets bright berry fruits aspect along with a touch of new leather.
There is a suppleness to the palate, yet crunch. The Shiraz gives a cool, savoury influence the flows from start to finish and the Pinot floral, pretty top notes of red cherry: the top deck of wines.
Lovely length and persistence. Something much more than an easy quaffer, plenty going on when you scratch the surface.
