Review Detail
2009 Turners Crossing Shiraz Viognier
Wine Rating
93
A very dark red that is slightly lighter towards the rim, the nose shows briar, tarry shiraz fruit that is given an aromatic lift from the viognier.
The palate is dominated by dense fruit and drying tannins; with plum, currants and gentle spices well supported by vanillin oak.
The finish displays Christmas cake characters of dark chocolate, cinnamon and dark fruits with mouth drying tannins.
