Review Detail
2008 Craiglee Shiraz Viognier
Wine Rating
92
The 2008 Shiraz Viognier has benefited from time in the bottle and has a well integrated nose of peppery red fruits and at dried apricot lift no doubt from the Viognier that adds rather than detracts from the experience.
There is plenty of interest on the palate with peppery plum and violets joined by aniseed characters and set against the backdrop of textural tannins and balanced acidity. The wine finishes with a focus on dark fruits with a spicy vanillin aspect lingering.
