Review Detail
2012 Man O War Bellerophon Syrah Viognier
Wine Rating
94
This is a very attractive wine, it was a surprise in a line up that included some of the best Rhone blends that Australia has to offer; the nose has a good interplay between stemmy plum and more floral Viognier.
The wine is medium bodied with a generous and textural mouthfeel, tannins are slinky and support the restrained expression of plum with gentle spice and supporting oak giving rise to a finish that lingers with cool climate complexity.
