Shiraz Blend February 04, 2015
2013 Willow Bridge Estate Gravel Pit Shiraz
Wine Rating

94
This wine is a Shiraz dominant wine that benefits from the blend of small portions of Grenache and Mataro; providing both a savoury aspect and accentuating spicy dark fruits as part of the blend.

A youthful red with purple hues towards the rim, the nose is tightly coiled with dark berried fruit accentuated by cedary oak and sage.

The wine is calling out for time, there is great structure and concentration with a mineral core, fruit is in the dark plum to blackberry spectrum with unsweetened chocolate, the length is considerable with white pepper and well proportioned spice to finish.

A very good prospect for medium term cellaring.
