Review Detail
2014 Willow Bridge Estate Gravel Pitt Shiraz
Wine Rating
92
The wine is produced primarily from Shiraz, but also includes 6% Grenache and 3% Mataro, with Grenache adding a kick of vibrancy and Mataro some additional structure.
A deep glossy red in the glass with youthful purple hues towards the rim, the nose gives lifted violets and rose petal aromas against graphite laden dark fruits.
The palate is medium bodied and a tightly coiled expression of plum and blackberry, the tannins are superfine and have a dark chocolate character to them.
The finish is drying and has a nice drive of acidity that will ensure t’s ability to cellar.
