Review Detail
2015 Lou Miranda Old Vine Shiraz Mourvèdre
Wine Rating
96
A blend of three vineyards, the Angels Vineyard and Church Block that were planted in 1898 and the Rowland Flat vineyard planted in 1917. Only a touch over 3000 bottles produced.
An inky dark red in the glass with spiced and charred oak overtones that are wrapped in blue fruits with a touch of bacon and milk chocolate. The wine fills every corner of the mouth but is in no way extracted; plum and blueberry fruit are centre stage with oak giving generous texture and spice.
A truly compelling wine that will live for a long time.
