2014 d’Arenberg The Laughing Magpie Shiraz Viognier
Wine Rating

89
An opulent nose that leaps out of the glass, the Shiraz provides plum and blackberry fruit with a graphite edge and the inclusion of Viognier a floral lift. As is often the case with Shiraz Viognier, the Viognier provides a suppleness and broadness to the wine, however from a textural perspective the Shiraz gives a chalkiness as well as providing characteristic milk chocolate richness that McLaren Vale is known for. The finish has a weave of spice to dark berry fruits and good length.
