Review Detail
2008 Yering Station Shiraz Viognier
Wine Rating
94
Red to purple colour in the glass, the nose shows cool climate influences of spicy plum and cherry.
The palate is rich, yet at the same time has a savoury edge. There is blackberry plum and five spice on the front to mid palate that is backed by fine savoury tannins and subtle vanillin oak towards the finish.
The finish itself has excellent focus, with dark fruits and spice in abundance and lingering after the final sip.
