Review Detail
2002 Normans Clarendon Chais Shiraz Merlot
Wine Rating
93
Aromatic with spicy cedary oak an undercurrent of plum and touch of licorice.
The wine is elegant and vibrant with dark cherry and plum. The acid and tannin structure are superb and provide a youthful, energetic lift.
On the mid to back palate there is subtle spice and dark chocolate that combines with persistent dark berry fruit.
An excellent but less common blend that is worth exploring.
