This wine was a disappointment given it's pedigree, highlighting that for some wines you are better off drinking early to get the most out of them.
The wine is a drying brown to red in colour, the nose gives raisin plum and prune characters with sappy caramel oak.
Oak also dominates the palate, with dull plum and blackberry getting a spicy lift across the mid to back palate.
The wine is cloying and simple on the finish.
