Dark red with a slight purple hue in colour that is a surprise considering the wine has already had a few years in the bottle.
The nose has lashings of American oak that is ably supported by dark fruits, the palate is laden with dark cherry and plum, charred oak characters and tannins add structure and richness ,with the concentration and length on the finish excellent.
