2005 Wolf Blass Platinum Shiraz

The platinum label is made with grapes sourced from select vineyards within Wolf Blass’s extensive vineyard holdings. The risk would be the wine is over worked but the 2005 manages concentration whilst maintaining elegance and structure.

The nose is a heady mix of savoury plum, vanillin oak and background pepper notes. There is concentration of plum and blackberry on entry with generous spice and oak inputs. Tannins are proportional to the concentrated fruit and ensures both the wines longevity in the cellar and gives focus and textural contrast on the prodigious finish.
