This wines stature and place within the Willow Creek portfolio is immediately evident from the wax sealed diam closure to the beautiful heavy bottle, it certainly has a presence. More importantly what’s in the bottle lives up to expectations.

2006 was the first release of this wine, with a minuscule production of just 10 barriques, a large proportion of which were new. The wine is a deep red in the glass with a nose that combines dark cherry and plum, with some secondary leather aspects and integrated savoury oak.

The palate is medium to full bodied, with an enjoyable structure that showcases layered savoury tannins against sweeter red fruits and oak induced spice. The finish gives prodigious length of grainy savoury oak and dark fruits.

In a great place now, and will continue to drink well over the next 5 - 8 years.
