2007 Mountadam Shiraz
Wine Rating
91
Light to medium red in colour, the nose has stewed dark cherry and stem with a touch of vanillin oak.
The wine is medium bodied, with an unmistakable elegance of cherry and sour edged plum. There is gentle spice, the tannins are fine but firm and the finish has good length with red fruits and well handled oak the highlight.
In short don't expect an in your face Barrossa Shiraz with the subtle Eden valley component of this wine shining through.
