2007 Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz

The wine is an impenetrable red to black in colour, the nose is voluptuous with ripe plum, dark chocolate and rich oak.

The palate is a ripe and powerful expression of McLaren Vale Shiraz and manages to shunt what was a tough vintage.

The wine has great balance despite tipping the scales at 15.5 %, the tannins are firm and framing, the plum and dark cherry fruit concentrated and the oak providing a savoury and peppery lift.

The finish shows dark chocolate, plum and ripe tannins. The length is superb with a slight warmth.
