A medium red in colour, the nose typifies what I love about this winery, they manage to extract such flavour and character from a variety that is somewhat atypical to many other wineries in the region. There is a tantalizing array of Kalamata olive and plum on the nose with savoury / cedary undertones.

The palate is concentrated, elegant and complex with blackberry and plum sitting alongside capsicum and olive that provides both texture and flavour contrasts. The balanced acid and tannin inputs builds structure; enhancing both the mouth feel and cellaring potential.
