A blend of both Grampians and Heathcote fruit from what was a very good vintage. The nose does look more like grampians than Heathcote with a sullen and sultry note of earth and tar to deep plum fruit on the nose. There is plenty of concentration with a backdrop of graphite like tannins and taut acidity to brambly dark berry fruits on the palate. The finish is long with a bitter dark chocolate thread to finish.
