There is power and concentration that is the hallmark of 2016 in the Barossa yet with time in the glass there is a more understated elegance and defined class that shines through with generous oak working in concert with quality fruit.

Dark plum and blackberry fruit enjoy the contrast of licorice strap and faint notes of black pepper, tannins have a savoury edge but also enjoy the svelte impact of newer oak. The acidity is just where it needs to be to give structure now but also gives the basis for decades in the cellar.
