The ‘Partners’ range from Byron & Harold represent the best of the wines they produce; in this instance they have crafted a beautifully expressive and voluptuous WA Shiraz with Great Southern enjoying a richer disposition for Shiraz when compared to the more austere examples from Margaret River.
The nose is steeped in blackberry and plum with a subtle savoury note and integrated vanillin richness. The palate unfurls with rolling dark berry fruits with touches of leather and milk chocolate. Tannin and acid is well handled and enjoy a graphite edge before leading into a moreish finish that is defined by plum and Christmas cake spice.
In a great spot now, but will reward medium term cellaring.
