There is always an attentive hand when it comes to the wines of Mitchell Harris, in this case the inclusion of 30% whole bunches in the ferment and 15 months ageing in older oak has produced a wine with structure and elegance which is somewhat atypical to the vintage.

The wine gives an inky purple hue in the glass with blackberry and bracken lifted by blueberry; there is a dusting of white pepper and earth across the top and even some violets if you look really hard.

The tannin structure of this wine is something to admire, filling the mouth with black fruits that are finely filamented with a graphite and earthen edge. There length of the wine is impressive with a build of plum fruit and a return of white pepper and charcuterie notes for good measure.

A wine that will reward time
