It is a unique proposition to have your current release as an 6 year old wine, but something I’m sure most producers would like the luxury of doing.

The wine comes from the stellar 2018 vintage and is showing beautifully. The aromatics have an olive and liquorice thread to black cherry and plum with a note of charcuterie before a final embellishment of brown spice.

The palate is supple, expansive but has great lines of acidity and tannin that give weight and structure. In terms of flavor it is true to the Syrah moniker with an olive and earth aspect to dark berry fruits that have plushness and savojeisness in the same breath.

A veneer of spice on the long finish. Exceptional
