Review Detail
1999 Blue Pyrenees Estate Shiraz
(Updated: January 12, 2012)
Wine Rating
89
Browning red in colour, the nose has stewed blackberry, leathery oak and a menthol edge. The palate is medium bodied and fully mature with sweet blackcurrant that is rounded by savory oak influences, with peppery tannins and considered acidity that accentuates the fruit on the finish. This wine is well into its secondary life post its fruit driven youth and best consumed in the shorter term.
