Review Detail
2004 Mountadam Shiraz
Wine Rating
86
The wine is starting to show its age in terms of both colour and smell, tending towards a dark to brick red in colour and the nose having dull dark berry fruits with raisin oak characters becoming prominent.
Plum, leather and oak are the dominant factors on the palate, they are in equal proportions to one another, with no component out of place, but lack subtlety and interest.
The finish shows a fair hit of oak, touch of spice and good length.
